Welcome to the ROCKY MOUNT CHAPTER #6095 OF USA DANCE
We are a non profit organization dedicated to developing Ballroom Dancing at all levels for people in and around The Rocky Mount, North Carolina Area. We certainly welcome all dancers from other USA chapers and well as dancers from 'out of town'. USA Dance is affiliated with the US Olympic Committee.
For our July 11, 2015 USA Dance, we learned the basic steps of Samba from our very talented instructor: Jordan Jewell. He was most precise and very patient with dancers of all skills. All enjoyed his method of teaching and left with added skills at the Samba. All had a great time learning new steps. Our dancers put the dance instructions to good use as we then danced from 8:15 until a little after 10:00PM. We had around 20 plus people on the dance floor most of the evening.
Our next dance will occur on August 8, 2015. Our Instructor will be Curtis Bass who will be teaching the CHA-CHA. The dance instruction should last for about 45 minutes and then we will assume our normal dance. So, get your dancing shoes on and come join our Dance Chapter for a fun evening.
Join us on the 2nd Saturday of Each Month at the Imperial Centre, Arts Education Building, corner of Falls Rd and N. Franklin Street, 344 Falls Rd, Rocky Mount, NC 27804 from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Just to give you a "Heads Up", Our Dance Instructors for September and October will be Eric Stennkopff who will teach Country Two Step; and, John and Penny Defino who will be teaching the Waltz.
At most of our dances, a free dance lesson with paid admission will start promptly at 7:30 p.m., so arrive early. Come and enjoy dancing on our 2500 sq. ft. wooden floor.
